Butter buns

I used instant dry yeast to bake them today. They are very soft and buttery.

今日はドライイーストを使って焼いた。ふわふわバターたっぷりの味。

For lunch, I had a bun and left over clam chowder I made last night.

昼ご飯は昨日作った残りのクラムチャウダーとロールパン。

I made this stamp three years ago.  これは３年前に作ったはんこ。

My sons requested me to make pancakes this morning. I had yogurt and little bit of buttermilk left. It was a perfect way to use them up. I added more sugar and honey for the sweet flavor. We liked it except my older son. He said, "It's too sweet for me, Mama."

子供らがパンケーキ作ってって今朝はリクエストしてきた。ヨーグルトもバターミルクも少し残ってたし使い切るのにちょうど良かった。砂糖とはちみつをいつもより少し足して甘めにしてみた。長男だけが、「ママ、これ甘すぎる。」って言うた。

Snowy day / Rocky road cookies

School was closed because of snow.

雪のため休校。

Warm cookies are always nice on a cold snowy day.

焼きたてのクッキーは寒い雪の日に食べるともっとおいしく感じる。

We went to walk around Thetis Lake on Sunday.

日曜日家族でシータスレイク周辺を歩いた。

I mixed chopped and grated lotus roots, okara(soy pulp), green onion, carrots, egg, ginger, salt and　potato starch. They were delicious!

すりおろしれんこん、細かく切ったれんこん、おから、ネギ、人参、たまご、しょうが、塩、片栗粉を混ぜて作った。おいしくできた！

昨日の夜はきれいな満月だった。

It was quite tasty waffles. We used recipe from here.

They are crystallized with sugar. I am going to use them for baking.

砂糖で結晶化。焼き菓子に使う予定。

Spelt oat scones / Baked spring rolls

I baked two kinds of scones; Chocolate chips, pecans and coconut scones /  dried fruits, orange, and white chocolate chips scones.
２種類のスコーンを焼いた。チョコチップ、ピーカン、ココナッツ　／　ドライフルーツ、オレンジ、ホワイトチョコチップ

I am making spring rolls.    春巻きを作ってる。

I baked them in the oven tonight.  　オーブンで焼き春巻きにした。

My children gave me this valentine drawing.

I used my hand- carved piggy stamps, and alphabet and heart punches, and Martha Stewart balloon and heart edge punches, and glitter glue pens. 

自分で作ったブタさんの消しゴムはんこと、アルファベットとハートのパンチ、マーサ　スチュワートの風船とハートの角用パンチと、グリッターペンを使用。

I made beets velvet cupcakes topped with ganache. 

ビーツ入りのベルベットカップケーキにガナッシュをトッピング。

I baked whole wheat bread this morning.

全粒粉パンを今朝焼いた。

We went to Pluto's for lunch today.

Friend's BD lunch party

I made green tea birthday cake for my friend. Another friend invited us all and served us vegetarian birthday lunch. Everything was super good!!
抹茶ケーキを友達の誕生日に作った。誕生日会を開いてくれた友達がベジタリアンランチをみんなにご馳走してくれた。かな〜りおいしかった！！

 I packaged handmade soaps as a birthday gift. It was fun to make and decorate the box.

手作り石けんを誕生日プレゼントにした。箱を作って飾るのがおもしろかった。

I gave soap samples to other friends as a valentine gifts.

他の子らには石けんサンプルをバレンタインギフトにして渡した。

Vegetable Bi Bin Bop

I made Bi Bin Bop for dinner with left over vegetables. ( it is also called bi bin bap. )
