It was very warm yesterday. We stopped by our community garden to see our veggies.

They are doing very well. Some of them are too well, and they are almost ready to put out flower buds.

 It tastes like hakusai. They are ready to eat. I should eat them soon before bugs get them all.

They are growing super well on the left over dirt.

I found some chard growing on the ground.

その辺にチャードを発見。

They are everywhere! These ones are in front of compost bins. First, I thought they were weed, but they didn't look like one, so I tasted them. They are tasty. The power of nature

またレタスの山が勝手に育ってる！！そこらじゅうにいる！この子たちはコンポーストの前に並んでる。最初は雑草かと思ったけど、そんなふうに見えないし、食べてみたらおいしかった。自然ってすごいなぁ。

Cute little flowers are still here. They haven't been mowed yet.

小さなかわいい花たちは、まだ刈られずにいる。かわいいな。

I like fig and walnut combination.

いちじくとくるみは良いコンビだと思う。

Ciabatta / Flower cards and a pig with BD balloon card

My first ciabatta bread. It was chewy and very moist. We all loved it.

チャバタパン　もちもちして水分多め。おいしかった。

I used some Martha Stewart punches, other punches and my hand-carved pig with a balloon stamp.

マーサ　スチュワートのお花や葉っぱ、風船のパンチ、その他のパンチを使用。私が作ったぶたさんの消しゴムはんこ。

They are about 3 cm.

大きさ３センチくらい。

spelt flour, flax, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame seeds

These lettuce started growing on the left over dart sitting beside our box. 

レタスの山

このレタスたち、私らのボックスの隣に積んでる残った土の中から出て来て育ってる。

They are cute and tiny. They will be mowed soon, I guess.

小さくてかわいい花。そのうち芝刈りで刈られるんだろうな。

This chard also started growing on the ground right by our box. Last person who had this box was growing chards, so I think seeds fell out from last season. 

このチャードも私らのボックスのすぐ下で勝手に育ってる。私らの前にこのボックス使ってた人が育ててたこぼれ種で育ってるのかな。

Rhubarb are growing gigantic! I have been using them in my baking. They are sour, but not too sour.

ルバーブでかすぎ！このルバーブを焼き菓子に使ってる。すっぱいけど、そんなにすっぱくないかなぁ。

Origami cards / Raspberry lemon ice cream

Doug made these ice cream. He used frozen raspberry and my homemade lemon jam.

He always makes vanilla because it is our older son's favorite.

ダグさんが冷凍ラズベリーと私が作ったレモンジャムでアイスクリーム作った。

長男用にバニラアイスもいっつも作る。
